Berry Almond Butter Smoothie

July 26, 2015 by Pixie

This smoothie is my take on the PB&J combo which is so popular, except I definitely prefer the taste of almond butter, and frozen berries are so much yummier than jam, so it’s a win win. Plus this is a great post-workout smoothie as almond butter is a great source of protein, and it just tastes so so good.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana
200g frozen berries
1 tbsp almond butter
200mL milk of choice
A pinch of sea salt (unless your almond butter is already salted)
1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)

What to do:

  • Add all the ingredients to a blender or Vitamix in the order shown
  • Blend it all up and pour into a bowl
  • Add your favourite toppings and enjoy

This just looks amazing! When you say berries do you mean raspberries or a mixture of berries? Thanks

Thank you! Any berries will work really, but to get the perfect colour shown in the photos I prefer to use a mixture of blueberries and raspberries
